1. Decisive factors of service life
The duration of the course is determined by many factors. Many courses are available for 10 to 15 years. The performance of the course can be compared to the performance of car tires: the more frequently your car is used, the shorter the interval between tire changes. In the same way, the service life of an artificial turf course depends on the intensity of use it bears. The less the field is used, the less it will be worn and the longer it will be used. To determine how long an artificial lawn will last, you must first determine the intensity of the pitch. Consider not only the amount of time to use, but also the number of players per square meter in the amount of time to use.
In addition, the quality of the various components of the course (such as grass, rubber filling, sports technology layer, etc.) and infrastructure (such as foundation and drainage system, etc.) should also be taken into account. This information can be used to determine the duration of the course. Also, installation quality, local climate conditions and maintenance standards can have a big impact on the length of the course.
2. Signs of aging
When does the field age? There are many signs that the field is aging.
The filling rubber hardened
Over time, the filling layer sinks, the particles sink and compress into a thick layer. This wear process can be minimized with proper maintenance. Rubber itself also hardens over time and can seriously degrade the performance of the course. If the fibers are still in good condition, it is an option to repair them. If the fibre is also worn out, the course needs to be modified.
Fiber wear
Artificial turf fibers and rubber fillers are among the most worn parts of the course. If the lawn fiber is loose or broken, it indicates that the lawn is worn out, which reduces the density of the pile and the length and thickness of the fiber.
Subgrade deformation
The foundation eventually deforms, making it less comfortable to run on. The foundation deformation is often caused by the use of inferior raw materials or supermarket equipment. Improper use can also cause foundation deformation, for example, by allowing overweight machines to enter the field. A good foundation is longer than the life expectancy of a lawn and can be used for about 30 years.
Line is loose
As the device is not professional, white lines and seams are likely to loosen or break. If glued properly, the seams should last as long as the lawn grounds.
